What to Expect at Your First Trial Class at Chara
Trying something new is exciting, but we know it can also come with a few questions—especially when it comes to your child. Where do we go when we arrive? What should my child expect? Can I watch the class? What happens afterward?
At Chara Christian Dance Academy, we want your family’s first experience to feel welcoming, simple, and stress-free. If you’re joining us for a trial class, here’s exactly what you can expect from the moment you walk through our doors.
When You Arrive
When you arrive at Chara, your first stop will be our front desk. One of our Customer Care team members will greet you, answer any initial questions, and help you get settled.
Your dancer or musician will receive a Pass to Class, which lets their teacher know they’re visiting us for a trial. We’ll also show you exactly where your classroom is, so there’s no guessing where to go!
We recommend arriving a few minutes early to give your child time to get comfortable, use the restroom if needed, change shoes, and feel ready for class.
It’s Time for Class!
When class begins, your child’s teacher will welcome them into the classroom and help them feel included from the very beginning.
We know that every child responds differently to a new environment. Some students can’t wait to jump right in, while others may need a little extra encouragement—and that’s okay! Our teachers are experienced in helping new students feel comfortable while creating a positive, encouraging class experience.
While your child is in class, you’re welcome to relax in our lobby or watch from one of our observation areas when available at your class location.
What Happens After the Trial?
Before heading home, be sure to stop back by the front desk. We’ll collect your Pass to Class, check in to hear how the class went, and answer any questions you may have.
Your child will also receive a special free trial gift as our way of saying thank you for spending part of your day with us!
This is also a great opportunity to talk with our team about what your child enjoyed, which classes may be the best fit, and any questions you have about schedules, enrollment, or the Chara experience.
