Kids shouldn’t have all of the fun!  Chara offers a wide variety of fitness classes for ages 13+ with our Fitness Class Card that gives you the freedom to drop in on a number of classes we have to offer. Cards can be purchased by registering below or by visiting the front desk.  Save more on classes as a Chara Member!! Your class card allows you to attend any fitness class as you are available without any monthly fees or obligation.  One card, any class!

Did you know that in the month of December we will waive the Chara membership fee for anyone who purchases an 8-class Fitness Card (that’s a $79 value). This is for NEW members only.  That means you can take any of our 11 weekly fitness classes between now and the end of the season and get access to other Chara programs like camps and classes.  NEW fitness classes *Adult Ballet and *Mind & Body Yoga start the first week in January 2021.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Instructor:  Claire Edmondson  |  Students:  All Levels
This class has its students dynamically linking poses together to create a vinyasa flow and incorporates yogic pranayama (breath work) throughout all flows. We cover balance poses, inversions, and backbends to increase strength and flexibility. Arm balances are introduced and taught throughout the yoga flows. No previous yoga knowledge is needed but is helpful. Pose modifications and advancements are offered and encouraged to fit the students’ skill level.

This class moves quickly and combines yoga poses, pilates and barre. An emphasis on stretch is addressed after the body is sufficiently warmed up through yoga, pilates and barre exercises.

This class explores several standing balance poses, and yoga poses for core & back strength and flexibility. The first half of class focuses on heating the body through yoga poses and the second half of class involves yoga for flexibility.

Enjoy a relaxing and healing yoga class that accommodates all abilities and interests, whether you are participating in a chair, on the floor, or by standing.  Jackie offers a variety of options so that everyone will become stronger and more flexible.  Jackie’s unique trauma certification allows her to provide additional and subtle tools to balance moods, overcome anxiety, recovery, and healing. Come experience mind and body healing through Yoga.

Deep Stretch

The first half of this class involves heating the body through various balance poses and postures. Once the body is sufficiently heated stretches will be held for 2-4 minutes helping elongate muscles and build strength.

Mat Pilates is a method of exercise designed to improve core strength, flexibility, coordination and balance, and proper postural alignment.  It’s also low impact and making it great for all ages and fitness levels who still want to work and strengthen their bodies.

High Fitness

HIGH Fitness is a high energy, fun fitness class that incorporates interval training with music you know and love. The movements are intense enough to challenge an athlete, yet easy enough to follow and modify for beginners. HIGH fitness is for all ages, stages and levels of fitness.
